Mother & Daughter Barrel Race + Team Auction
Starts at 5:00 PM
The heart of the event—and a crowd favorite.
This race is about connection, confidence, and celebrating the women who lift the next generation up—not about being the fastest or most experienced.
Team Format
Teams consist of one female adult + one female youth
“Mother & Daughter” can be any meaningful duo—mom, grandma, aunt, cousin, mentor, or best friend
Each team will be assigned a team number
This is about showing up, having fun, and raising money for a meaningful cause
How It Works
All youth riders will run first, followed by all adult riders
Each team’s combined time determines placing
Time will be allowed for tack/saddle changes between runs as needed
5-second penalty will be added for each knocked-over barrel
Helmets are required for ALL riders
Team Experience
Each team will submit:
Team Name
Ride Song
Short Bio (shared with the crowd during introductions)
Teams are highly encouraged to dress up, coordinate outfits, and bring the energy
The more spirit you bring, the more you help raise money through the auction
Live Team Auction
Before the race begins, each team will be introduced to the crowd with their song and bio, then auctioned off live.
Spectators will have the opportunity to bid on their favorite teams, with the highest bidder “owning” that team for the race.
This is where teams can truly shine—personality, creativity, and heart matter more than speed
Auction Format
Each team is sold to the highest bidder
All winning bids must be paid at the office before the race begins
50/50 Split:
50% of each winning bid → Curvy Girls
50% → payout pool
Teams are raising money simply by participating and being bid on—winning is just a bonus
Payout
Cash payouts will be awarded based on team performance:
1st Place: 50% of payout pool
2nd Place: 30%
3rd Place: 20%
Cook Shack
The Cook Shack will be open all day serving:
Breakfast
Lunch & Dinner (burgers and more)
Snacks & drinks
All Cook Shack proceeds benefit the South Seattle Saddle Club.
